Read "a due". When two parts are recorded on one music score, each one becomes a music score which is apparently one voice part when playing the same sound, but the sound of one apparent voice part is 2 It means that one part plays in Unison.

Normally, when each part returns to the original two-voice part after a2, it instructs divisi etc. at the beginning when it plays. Incidentally, in a voice part a 3 (a · tray), in four voice parts a 4 (a · Quattro).
