perfect fourth

Five degree inverted form. In the case of stringed instruments, the pitch increases by one octave when the length of the string becomes half (B) of (A) as shown in the figure below. In addition, when the length (C) is 1/3, the difference in pitch is one octave higher than the pitch of (A) in length by 5 degrees. And when it is 1/4 (D), it is half of half, so it will be 2 octaves. The pitch difference of 1/3 length and 1/4 length is completely 4 degrees. Even if the octave changes, the sound relation does not change. Basically, the relation between the pipe length and the pitch of wind instruments is the same. This pitch melts well and you almost can not hear it as a single sound. In the mean temperament it is impossible to take this pitch (the score on the bottom is approximate). The inverted form is completely 5 degrees. There are also 4 degrees increase and 4 degree decrease other than complete 4 degrees for 4 degrees.

By the way, the pitch difference of 2 octaves is not perfect 16 degrees, but it is 15 degrees perfect (let's count the number of sounds).
